Firth of Clyde business offers rooms with a view

A HOTEL overlooking the Firth of Clyde described as being in “true walk-in condition” has come onto the books of property agent Bruce & Co.
Located ‘doon the watter’ in the seaside town of Dunoon, Abbots Brae Hotel is set in two acres of woodland garden and landscaped grounds.
The hotel is said to have been refurbished to a high standard by the current owners, with the most recent project – of the hotel’s master bedroom, the Lamont – completed just two months ago.
Each of the eight letting rooms is named after a place on the Cowal Peninsula and features photographs relating to each place.
The hotel also has a residents’ lounge with fireplace and a 24-cover restaurant offering “fantastic” views.
Included in the sale is a three-bedroom owner’s cottage located next to the hotel.
Scott Toward, associate director at Bruce & Co, said the hotel has an “excellent” reputation.
“Abbots Brae was also placed sixth in the UK for ‘best service’ at the recent Trip Advisor Awards, and is even ranked 19th in the whole of Europe,” he said.
“Abbots Brae Hotel is an extremely busy business that is on the market only due to the current proprietors’ other business interests.”
The hotel is on the market with a price tag of £699,950.
