THE bartender behind Aberdeen-based mobile cocktail bar company 10 Dollar Shake is set to open a venue in the city.
Adrian Gomes and business partner Andrew Samways have acquired the lease on the former Belmont Bar and plan to relaunch it as The Tippling House in August following a major revamp.
The late night basement bar, which is named after 18th century Jamaican taverns, will feature exposed granite walls, wooden floors, vintage cabinets and booth seating.
The 110-capacity bar will offer table service and major in “fine spirits and freshly-made cocktails”.
Gomes told SLTN opening a bar is a long-held ambition.
“The aim has always been to open my own place,” he said. “It’s been a long time coming.”
