OBAN Marina has been acquired by a division of a long-established local company.
The newly-formed Oban Marina & Yacht Services Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The North Ledaig Co, bought the business for an undisclosed sum in a deal brokered by Graham & Sibbald.
Located on the Isle of Kerrera, the marina is said to be well-serviced, offering access at all tides.
Bruce Murdoch, a partner in Graham & Sibbald’s Aberdeen office, said the business attracted many offers ahead of the closing date.
“The level of interest and the speed with which the transaction was completed reflects the fact that, despite the challenges faced by many sectors of the economy and in particular the property market, there remains a real appetite for well located quality assets,” he said.
