OPERATORS seeking a business with multiple income streams might be interested in a boutique hotel in the ‘home of golf’ which has just come onto the books of property agent Bruce & Co.

Ogstons On North Street, in the Fife town of St Andrews, has 13 individually-designed en suite letting rooms, comprising six double or twin rooms and seven larger ‘deluxe’ rooms. It also comes with the recently-refurbished 70-cover Oak Rooms restaurant and lounge bar, which majors in local produce and describes its offer as “fine food without the fuss”.
The business also includes what’s claimed to be St Andrews’ only nightclub, The Lizard.
The 200-capacity venue, which has its own bar, a VIP area and an outdoor smoking area, is said to be furnished to a high standard in faux white leather and neon lighting.
The club currently trades seven nights a week until 2am and is said to draw a mix of tourists and locals, particularly students from the University of St Andrews.
Scott Toward, associate director at Bruce & Co, said the current owner is selling up to retire from the trade.
“The sale of Ogstons On North Street offers a rare opportunity to purchase a high quality, beautifully presented hotel in the heart of St Andrews, which is trading extremely successfully but with potential for expansion of the business,” he said.
“It benefits highly from its stunning location and reputation for luxury accommodation and entertainment.”
Offers over £2.8 million are sought for the property.
