A GLASGOW-based refrigeration specialist has won a major contract to refurbish and upgrade the main kitchen and banqueting facility of a luxury hotel in Edinburgh, helping to save the hotelier thousands with the adoption of an energy saving design.
ACE Refrigeration – a UK leader in the design, installation, service and maintenance of commercial and light industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems – will provide the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa with two freezer rooms, a number of chilled preparation areas, including the specialist banquet production area, one blast freezer and nine walk-in chill rooms, working in conjunction with Humble Arnold Catering Consultants and Scobie McIntosh kitchen designers.
 As one of only a handful of refrigeration contractors able to offer indemnified designs as part of the complete package, and utilising ACE‘s RACE Energy Saving System, the new refrigeration systems will minimise power usage by approximately a quarter over traditional design applications.Â
