THE number of UK businesses entering insolvency dipped in January, according to business consultancy Experian.
Figures supplied by the company show that the UK insolvency rate (the percentage of all businesses entering insolvency) fell from 0.11% in December to 0.07% in January.
In total, 1376 businesses across the UK entered insolvency practitioners in January – 82 of which were in Scotland.
Within the UK leisure and hotel sector, there were 118 insolvencies in January, according to Experian.
