HIGHLAND malt anCnoc is serving up a treat to whisky lovers at home and abroad with the launch of its limited edition 1998 vintage.
Inver House Distillers is making 850 cases of the malt, produced at the Knockdhu Distillery, available in the UK, Germany, Russia, Japan and France, at a price of £50 a bottle via specialist retailers and the anCnoc website.
The expression, selected by master distiller Stuart Harvey and on sale from last week, comes in a 700ml bottle, featuring a green touch to anCnoc’s minimal design.
The un-chill filtered liquid is amber in colour and is said to embody a soft aromatic nose with a hint of honey and lemon. On the palate, the new expression is described as being sweet to start and fruity, with a long, smooth finish.
“In what is set to be a dynamic and exciting year for anCnoc it’s great to add such a unique and limited expression to our range of coveted single malts, currently including the 16 year old and award-winning 12 year old,” said brand manager Gillian Gibson.
“With its distinctive characteristics, the 1998 vintage is set to be a must-have addition to any whisky enthusiast’s collection.”
