IPA, for folk’s sake

DEUCHARS IPA is set to get jiggy with it this Easter.

The ale, owned by the Caledonian Brewing Company, is sponsoring a weekend of traditional Scots music as part of Ceilidh Culture 2012.
The event is an annual celebration of traditional arts held in the Scottish capital.
The Folk Weekender will present three bands each night on Friday April 6 and Saturday April 7.
“This sponsorship is a perfect addition to our portfolio,” said Tom Cannon, Caley’s head of marketing and sales operations.
“Alongside our association with the Fringe, Film Festival, Book Festival and Hogmanay, Deuchars has established itself a real ‘festival’ beer.
“The Folk Weekender will present a great opportunity for audiences to enjoy Deuchars – a traditional Scottish ale – alongside some of the best young traditional artists in Scotland.”
