PUB operators in Glasgow could be allowed to sell alcohol from 11am on Sundays if a new proposal gets the go-ahead.
The city’s licensing board has launched a consultation on plans to amend the standard licensed hours for on-trade premises, which are currently 11am until midnight from Monday to Saturday and 12.30pm until midnight on Sundays, to 11am until midnight seven days a week. The majority of off-sales in Glasgow are permitted to sell alcohol between 10am and 10pm seven days a week in line with the maximum permitted hours set out in the licensing Act.
Moves to amend hours for on-trade premises follow a request from the SBPA at a meeting of the board and the licensing forum. The consultation ends on March 31.
