GLASGOW live music venue King Tuts got 2012 off to a flyer by posting record ticket and bar sales.
Owner DF Concerts credits its King Tuts New Year Revolution, now in its second year, with driving growth at what is a traditionally quiet time of year.
The promotional activity saw 75 Scottish bands, including La Fontaines, Beer Jacket and Vigo, take to the stage over 15 nights. “January is a notoriously hard month for promoters so we wanted to create something that would not only benefit the venue commercially but also one of the core values of the venue – which is supporting new music,” said DF Concerts boss Geoff Ellis.
