Wine drop hampers Pernod Ricard sales

A DIP in wine sales is said to have hampered Pernod Ricard’s performance in the six months to December 31, 2011.

The firm, whose wine brands include Jacobs Creek, said its net sales in the UK were down 6% in the six months “due to wine”.
In Europe, excluding France, the half-year was “satisfying” with net sales up 2%.
