CASH and carry chain Booker enjoyed strong trading in the run up to Christmas, according to its most recent financial results.
Like-for-like sales in the 16 weeks to December 30 were up 6.5%, driven by tobacco sales, which rose 7.6%; non-tobacco like-for-like sales climbed 5.8% and total sales rose 7%.
