THE delivered arm of wholesaler Booker has invested in a new fleet of vans that will enable it to deliver products stored at different temperatures.
The new Booker Direct vehicles are equipped with moveable bulkheads to create different storage spaces, meaning that each truck can deliver ambient, chilled and frozen products.
Mark Aylwin, managing director of Booker Direct, said it means customers can have all of their products delivered at once.
“We are delighted to now be able to offer our customers an improved chilled and frozen service,” he said.
“We have made a significant investment to ensure we do not just meet our customer’s expectations, we exceed them.
“A single delivery of all our customer’s food and non-food requirements significantly improves productivity at ours customer’s sites; reducing paperwork, handling and replenishment times.”
