A SCOTTISH Borders hotel is set to be revamped by new owners.
Roy and Lorna Curry bought Castle Venlaw Hotel in Peebles for an undisclosed sum from the administrators of PAG Hotels.
Set in two and a half acres, the hotel has 12 letting bedrooms, a bar, restaurant and meeting room.
Alistair Letham, a director with selling agent Colliers International, said the hotel attracts a mix of business and leisure trade.
“The Castle Venlaw Hotel has, in the past, been a well-established leisure destination proving popular with a cross-section of customers, including exclusive use for weddings,” he said. “With the hotel’s proximity to Edinburgh it also attracted a good mix of commercial custom.
“Under new ownership the business will be redeveloped and reinstated into the leisure market place as a popular and quality venue and destination.”
