A NEW line of cakes said to have the potential to drive footfall in pubs over the festive period has just been launched.
Foodservice company Delice de France says the new range of cakes, muffins and individually wrapped cake bars are a valuable addition to favourites such as mince pies and Christmas cake, and satisfy a desire for quality and indulgence over the Christmas period.
Isabelle Davis, brand communications manager in the UK for Delice de France, reckons the new products tap into the “mega trends” of indulgence, nostalgia, provenance and convenience.
“We recommend outlets looking to capitalise on the growing café culture in the UK stock up now in order to generate early season sales and make the most of the profitable festive period,” she said.
The company said it will work with outlets in order to provide a range of products that’s tailored to their outlet.
