The three-strong CJ’s range from Intercontinental Brands (ICB), whose portfolio includes St Helier cider and V-Kat Schnapps, comprises a Mojito, Cosmopolitan and Margarita.
The 10% ABV ready-to-drink cocktails are packaged in 70cl glass shaker-style bottles with labels referencing New York, Mexico, and Cuba’s most famous cocktails.
ICB managing director John Mills said the pre-mixed cocktail category saw volume uplift of 73% in the year to April 2011.
“Cocktails are still growing fast in the on-trade and so pre-mixed cocktails are now the perfect take-home solution and are bound to do well at Christmas,” he said. “Pre-mixed cocktails are already big news in the multiples, but independent retailers have been slower to embrace the trend so my message is to take advantage of this growing trend and offer a branded range that is affordable to young adults.”
