Chef has designs on new steak

A GLASGOW restaurant has launched a ‘designer’ steak.

Inspired by esteemed British luxury handbag manufacturer Mulberry, the Mulberry Steak has been added to the menu in The Grill Room at the Square, part of Lynnet Leisure’s 29 venue in Royal Exchange Square.
Head chef David Friel created the £15.95 dish: a char-grilled 4oz fillet of Scotch beef served with a mulberry and black peppercorn sauce and wilted greens.
“The Mulberry Steak is part of the Grill Room’s new ‘wicked steaks’ range, which changes every month,” he said.
