Wine has designs on Scotland

WINES and Champagnes by French fashion designer Christian Audigier are available in Scotland for the first time through Perthshire distributor Cooper White Wines.
From Montpeyroux Estates in France, the range includes Sauvignon Blanc, Baernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Chardonnay, Merlot and Rosé. There are also Premier Cru and Rosé Champagnes from House of Dumangin.
The wines and Champagnes are in bottles inspired by Christian Audigier’s “rock ‘n’ roll street style” combined with images of tattoo art, as used on his Ed Hardy brand.
Sandra White, a partner in Dunkeld-based Cooper White Wines, said the range is becoming a collectible series, with the bottles popular in bars and restaurants as well as the gift market.
“I first saw the wines on display at the Northern Restaurant & Bar Show in Manchester and the designs and colours immediately grabbed my attention as they were totally different from anything else on the market,” she said.
“We are delighted to be able to introduce this stunning range of wines and Champagnes to Scotland and the north west [of England].
“The striking and impressive bottle designs appeal to the eyes as much as the excellent quality of the contents appeals to the palate, making them the wines and Champagnes to be seen with.”
