A PERTHSHIRE hotel has appointed a senior manager from outside the owning family for the first time in its 140-year history.

John Jennett (right) has been promoted to the role of managing director at Crieff Hydro from his position as sales and marketing director. He takes over from Stephen Leckie, who has become chief executive. Leckie’s family has owned and run Crieff Hydro for five generations.
John said it’s an exciting time for the business. “As the country’s leading independent leisure resort, we are competing side-by-side with international brands,” he said. “We need to continually invest in the Hydro brand to ensure it continues to be relevant to loyal audiences who have visited for generations, while attracting new markets that will give us the generations of visitors in the future.”
