DALHOUSIE Castle hotel and spa near Edinburgh has come onto the market after its parent company went into administration.
It’s part of a portfolio of 26 hotels across the UK being marketed by Christie & Co on behalf of the administrators of von Essen Hotels Ltd.
Situated on the banks of the River Esk in Midlothian, Dalhousie Castle is said to date from the 13th century and now boasts 29 bedrooms, bar, dining and function facilities, and a spa.
Christie & Co MD Chris Day said Dalhousie is one of a number of historic properties in the portfolio. “Given the history and international reputation of these hotels we anticipate considerable interest from potential buyers who have already been in contact to try and secure some or all of this famous collection of hotels,” he said.
