New tenants are sought for north east village hotel
NEW tenants are sought for a village hotel in the north east of Scotland. Owned by Monymusk Estate, which manages and lets a number of houses, farms and agricultural land, the Grant Arms Hotel is located in the centre of Monymusk in Aberdeenshire. A former 18th century coaching inn, the hotel has 12 en suite letting rooms, two bars, a dining room and a sheltered patio courtyard; there’s also a manager’s flat and staff rooms.
The new lease gives those with experience the chance to run their own business.
Monymusk Estate, which has operated the Grant Arms Hotel for a number of years, is now seeking an experienced operator to lease the hotel and “develop the business into other avenues”.
Alistair Letham, a director with Colliers International, said terms for the new lease are open to negotiation.
“The availability of the Grant Arms Hotel, which is a well-established business already, is ideal for experienced operators in the trade to take over an excellent business with huge potential to further grow the trade custom,” he said. “The availability of the new lease, on flexible terms, gives an opportunity for those with experience in the trade to run their own business”.
Meanwhile, Colliers International is marketing the Lazy Day Cottages in West Fishwick, in the Scottish Borders.
There are three luxury chalet lodges each with two double en suite bedrooms, a living/dining/kitchen area, BBQ decking terrace, hot tub and sauna. There’s also planning permission to build a further three lodges on the site. “Lazy Day Cottages is one of the best quality chalet developments where the standard is as good as, if not better than, some five-star hotels,” said Letham.
Offers over ÂŁ475,000 are sought.
