The only way is Stranraer

AN award-winning Stranraer eatery has been sold to an operator from Essex after nearly 50 years under the same ownership.

L’Aperitif was founded by the late Natale Lisi in 1965 and, more recently, has been run by his sons Massimo and Douglas.
The restaurant, which can accommodate 85 covers across two floors, was marketed by property agent Bruce & Co and attracted four offers before a deal was agreed with a buyer from Essex.
“We were absolutely thrilled to have been able to facilitate the sale of such a prestigious and renowned restaurant,” said Bruce & Co’s Kaira Massie.
“The business is so popular that it trades on its reputation alone, offering a fantastic opportunity for the new owner, and we are sure they will continue to provide quality cuisine to Stranraer and beyond.”
Massimo said the sale signals a new chapter for the eatery.
“My family and I would like to thank Bruce & Co for all their hard work and dedication shown in assisting with the sale of my business,” he said.
