Organised by leading trade publication, the Scottish Licensed Trade News, and launched in 1996, the SLTN Awards is the premier awards scheme for the Scottish hospitality industry.

From the modest inaugural event, where eight trophies were presented, to the comprehensive, industry-wide awards scheme of the present day, the SLTN Awards has always been about celebrating the very best operators and venues in Scottish hospitality.

Held at the Hilton Glasgow, the SLTN Awards hosts 700 members of the Scottish hospitality and drinks industries each year. Our coveted corkscrew trophies are presented to operators, staff and businesses from across the industry and every corner of Scotland.

The event culminates in the presentation of the SLTN Award for Industry Achievement, in recognition of an individual that has made a lasting contribution to Scottish hospitality.

Who organises the SLTN Awards?
The SLTN Awards are organised by Peebles Media Group, publishers of the Scottish Licensed Trade News.

How do I enter the SLTN Awards?
Entries will open on the 2nd of April 2026. To enter or nominate someone, simply complete the online entry form. The form will ask you some basic questions related to the category (or categories) you are entering. You may enter up to three categories per venue.

What is the judging process for the SLTN Awards?
Entries for each category are reviewed by the SLTN team and a shortlist of six are then visited by a team of judges. During this stage the entrant will be asked further questions related to the category they have entered and scored against set criteria. The top three entrants in each category are then invited to the SLTN Awards where the winners will be announced.

How much does it cost to enter the SLTN Awards?
It’s absolutely free! Anyone can enter the awards or be nominated with zero cost attached.

When will the SLTN Awards take place?
The 2026 SLTN Awards ceremony will take place on 5th November 2026 at the Hilton Glasgow, 1 William St, G3 8HT.
