The 2019 SLTN Awards is open to all relevant members of the Scottish licensed trade and hospitality industry in each category.
The 2019 SLTN Awards programme welcomes and encourages entries and nominations from members of the trade throughout Scotland – in businesses of all types, sizes and budgets.
There is no requirement to stock any products or be a member of any organisation. All outlets must be appropriately licensed for the serving of alcohol. All entrants must be aged 18 or over. Entrants may enter or be nominated for any number of appropriate categories.
The criteria outlined in the 2019 SLTN Awards entry brochure and at sltn.co.uk gives further guidance to the main areas of consideration in each category. Brochures are available from SLTN, The Albus, 110 Brook Street, G40 3AP; by calling 0141 567 6041; or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Official entry forms are available online at sltn.co.uk; entries can be submitted online or the entry form downloaded and posted to SLTN Awards, Freepost, PEEBLES MEDIA GROUP. Supporting material, such as photographs, menus and drinks lists, can be submitted with the online entry or emailed to email@example.com.
In each category, judges will be appointed by SLTN and may include representatives of SLTN, representatives of the sponsoring company, expert judges from fields like marketing, foodservice and business development, and experienced and well-regarded professional licensees in Scotland.
Judging will take place in a number of stages. Firstly the original entries will be considered based on the completed entry form and supporting material supplied in relation to each category. A shortlist will be drawn up and judges will visit each of these shortlisted entrants. With the exception of the Industry Achievement and Entrepreneur categories, where there is a single winner, the judges will choose three finalists in each category who will attend the 2019 SLTN Awards at The Hilton, Glasgow on November 7, 2019 when the winner and highly commended finalists will be announced.
The judges’ decision is final and there is no cash alternative to the prizes.
The winner will receive the 2019 SLTN Award trophy, and individual category sponsors may supply an additional prize.
The winner and the highly commended finalists will receive certificates and feature in 2019 SLTN Awards public relations material, including a press release sent to appropriate local, national and UK-wide media.
Any amendment to these rules and regulations will be publicised in SLTN.
Entries or nominations must be received by Friday May 31, 2019
