AN Italian restaurant in Dunfermline has a distinct family feel after being taken over by a chef and his parents.

Fabio Teti and parents Silvana and Giuseppe have taken over Ciao Italia on the town’s Nethertown Broad Street, renaming it Casa Mia (Italian for ‘our home’).

The eatery showcases food of the Campania region, where the Teti family is from.

Fabio, who was previously head chef at the restaurant before taking on the business, said: “My parents and I are excited about running this business together as we can put our own stamp on it.

“The name Casa Mia says it all – the restaurant is a representation of what we like to eat as a family.

“We are now going to be sharing our unique food heritage with our customers old and new.”
