EDINBURGH-based Signature Pub Group, headed by Nic Wood, has announced the acquisition of the Speratus Group’s seven units, owned by Wood’s brother Garreth.

The move sees The Auld Hundred in Edinburgh; Nox and Paramount in Aberdeen and The Boozy Cow units in Edinburgh, Dundee, Stirling and Aberdeen come under Signature’s control, taking its estate to 21 outlets.

Nic Wood said: “This is an exciting deal for both parties and the acquisition has been a very natural progression.

“The Speratus Group consists of great units, in great locations and offers an opportunity to further enhance efficiencies as the businesses are already closely aligned.”
