Alcohol-free growth

Low & no-alcohol

THE low and no-alcohol category continues to grow, albeit slower than last year, when the on-trade was still coming to terms with the lower drink drive limit.

A £200,000 growth in sales among alcohol-free beers may not appear too significant, especially next to the top categories, but that figure represents an 8% expansion for the sector.

Beck’s Blue remains the preferred choice amongst Scottish consumers, but the big story of the category is the success of Brewdog Nanny state, which moved from fifth to third place.
