AN Italian elderflower liqueur has been launched in the UK by Instil Drinks Co – a trading division of Bibendum Wine.

Fiorente, which has an ABV of 20% and is available in 70cl bottles, is said to be produced by the Francoli Distillery using elderflowers which are infused in alcohol with mint leaves and lemon peel.
Instil Drinks Co is promoting the spirit alongside the Fiorente Spritz – a combination of the liqueur with Prosecco, sparkling water, lime wedges and mint leaves.
“Riding the growth of prosecco sales and the popularity of elderflower, Fiorente is designed to make the perfectly balanced aperitivo, with a lower sugar content and the addition of lemon peel and mint in the infusion,” said Instil Drinks Co.
The launch of Fiorente Italian Elderflower Liqueur follows on from recent success for Instil Drinks-distributed rum brand Plantation at this year’s RumXP International Tasting Competition in Miami.
Each of the eight variants in the Plantation range entered in the competition claimed a gold medal. Plantation also picked up the “best in class” prize in four categories.
Alexandre Gabriel, master blender for Plantation, said “we are very proud and humbled to accept these wonderful awards”.
