WHOLESALER JW Filshill has unveiled a jointly-branded convenience store launched in collaboration with Clydebank Co-operative.

The store in Knightswood, which traded as a Spar for more than 20 years, now features Clydebank Co-op and Keystore branding.
Simon Hannah, managing director at JW Filshill, said the joint venture with Clydebank Co-op, which was confirmed earlier this year, was “too good an opportunity to miss”.
“Both JW Filshill and Clydebank Co-operative Society have similar values in that we are long-established, responsible and innovative retailers,” he said.
“We applaud Robert Sider and his colleagues for adopting such a forward-thinking approach and share their belief that our jointly branded store will breathe new life into the Scottish convenience sector – it’s already creating a buzz and that’s very positive for the wider industry because it’s getting people talking.”
Robert Sider, chief executive of Clydebank Co-operative Society, said: “Working with JW Filshill, we’ve ramped up standards across the board – the result is a pristine convenience store, a range much more suited to local needs and great customer service from a highly experienced team.
“We were always convinced that Filshill was the ideal collaborator and we’re delighted with the end result. It’s very much an evolution.”
