Online quiz taking aim at pub trade

A NEW online platform which allows anyone with an internet connection to play pub quizzes is said to be gathering pace with pub operators.

• Kwizzbit was launched last year.

Kwizzbit was founded last year by entrepreneurs Mark Walsh, Steve Saul and John Sheard.
The company claims its cloud-based software, which allows venues to deliver an interactive quiz which customers can access on their smartphones, has since been trialled in pubs across the UK, as well as companies in other business sectors.
It has also received an endorsement from MP Greg Mulholland, former chair of the Save the Pub Group.
The company plans to roll the software out to pubs and clubs across the country in the coming months.
‘‘Having industry specialists John and Steve on the team has allowed us to create the software in just months,” said Walsh.
“Working alongside our external development team we’re now at an exciting stage in the business where we’re ready to take not only the pub quiz market by storm, but several others too.”
