Chance to grab slice of park life

A RESTAURANT that’s been under the same ownership for almost 17 years has come onto the books of The Restaurant Agency.

• The venue overlooks The Meadows.

Geoff and Kate Ness opened Katie’s Diner on the corner of Edinburgh’s Barclay Terrace and Wright’s Houses in the Bruntsfield area in 2000. Overlooking The Meadows, the restaurant has a capacity of 25+ covers.
Alan Goldie of The Restaurant Agency, who is marketing Katie’s Diner at offers over £25,000 for the leasehold, described it as an “excellent starter business”.
“With a low premium and starting rent at £15,000 per annum then this is a very affordable business and capable of making good profits in a short space of time,” he said.
“A fresh ten or 15-year lease is on offer from our clients and given it is fully licensed til 1am then it is ideally placed for an all-day café/bistro, seven days a week.”
