A top tap for the top pint

Award sponsor Tennent’s toasted the Airlie Arms’ success by installing a special font which reads ‘Top Pint’ alongside the SLTN Awards logo.
Dilys Robertson, who runs the Airlie Arms with her father and sister, Barry and Nicola Ewert, said the team was “so pleased to have been recognised as pouring the best pint in Scotland”.
“When we opened the outlet we never imagined we’d be taking home the title of Scotland’s best pint so soon,” she said.
“It’s been a fantastic journey for us building up three bars, a restaurant and a function suite from what was an abandoned building 18 months ago.
“The new font looks great on the bar and we’d like to thank Tennent’s for gifting it to us. We’ll be back to defend our crown next year.”
Claire Arnott, head of UK customer marketing at Tennent’s, described the Airlie Arms’ SLTN Award win as a “fantastic achievement”.
