WHILE regular cleaning of a commercial microwave should be a standard part of any kitchen routine, keeping the equipment clean will only go so far towards getting the most out of the unit.
Catering equipment specialists said it’s crucial that operators work with their suppliers in order to maximise their investment.
“We can provide expert advice on programming and even offer a pre-programming service at our HQ prior to machines being sent to site,” said RH Hall managing director, Ray Hall.
“Combination microwaves take things a step further.
“With all the extra cooking modes available, menu options can be set using your PC and then transferred to an SD card for use in the machine.
“Our food solutions team can provide full support and assist with menu development – particularly useful for larger chain operators.”
Suppliers said they can offer their customers a raft of advice on how to make the most of microwaves, with Iain Phillips, sales and marketing manager for commercial catering equipment at Panasonic UK, saying the company is “constantly being asked by our customers how they can save money, and especially how they can reduce their power bills”.
