Maturing is double trouble

American bourbon brand Jim Beam’s portfolio has been extended through the launch of Jim Beam Double Oak.

Introduced last month, the new variant is said to be matured in two stages: firstly in new charred American white oak barrels before being transferred into a second freshly charred oak barrel for a further period of aging.
Tasting notes for Jim Beam Double Oak describe the bourbon as being “intense in flavour yet smooth in taste”; suggested serves include on the rocks or in an Old Fashioned.
Master distiller Fred Noe said the Jim Beam distillery has “always enjoyed pushing boundaries and innovation” and described Jim Beam Double Oak as “the latest example of this”.
The launch of Double Oak is being supported by a digital marketing campaign.
