ONE of Scotland’s top distillers has been recognised for innovation and craftsmanship at the International Spirits Challenge (ISC).
Dr Bill Lumsden, director of distilling and whisky creation at The Glenmorangie Company, picked up the Special Recognition Award for a master distiller/blender – which was introduced this year to recognise individuals who have made a significant contribution to the industry.
The ISC praised Lumsden for his innovation, particularly in the field of wood management and cask finishing.
Lumsden said it was a “great honour” to be recognised by the ISC.
