A different take on Scotch

ENCOURAGING people to look differently at Scotch whisky was the name of the game at a Haig Club-sponsored event in Edinburgh this month.

Create:Eat:Whisky, organised by Edinburgh-based events company Jelly & Gin, invited visitors to sample various whisky cocktails in different spaces, each with a visual and audio style designed to match the cocktail.

Drinks for the event were created by the team behind Bramble and Lucky Liquor Co.

“It went really well,” said Jelly & Gin director Aoife Behan.

“I think matching the cocktails to the sensory elements of the different environments is something a lot of people haven’t experienced before.

“It was challenging what people’s perceptions of what a whisky event should be like.”
