A NEW head chef has been appointed at the Atholl Arms Hotel at Dunkeld in Perthshire.

Alistair Bryson has taken the helm in the kitchen at the hotel, which offers dining at its RiverView restaurant and the Inn at The Atholl. Bryson’s previous catering experience includes over three years as head chef at Sante wine bar and restaurant in Perth, as well as stints at Murrayshall House Hotel at Scone, the Lovat Arms Hotel in Fort Augustus and the Windlestrae Hotel in Kinross
Bryson now leads a kitchen team which includes chefs Eray Raif, Kris McGregor and Angel Velev.
Alan Berwick, operations director at the Atholl Arms Hotel, said he was “delighted to have attracted such a talented young chef to head our kitchen team”.
“Ally’s skills, experience and enthusiasm make him the ideal person to build on our reputation for wonderful food to go with our stunning location,” said Berwick.
The RiverView restaurant was recognised at the 2014 Scottish Hotel Awards earlier this year where it was named best informal dining restaurant of the year for the Central and Fife region.
