A hot spot in the Highlands

Kintail Lodge

Kintail Lodge has top views and access to attractions

A HOTEL on the route to Skye, with spectacular views of Loch Duich, is on the market.
Kintail Lodge is just six miles from Eilean Donan Castle, as seen in the films Highlander and The World Is Not Enough, and ideally-placed for all the tourist spots of the north-west coast.
As well as a dozen bedrooms, Kintail Lodge has a bar, restaurant, conservatory and lounge in the main building.
A two-bedroom chalet in the grounds is currently used as owner’s accommodation, along with a flat in the main hotel building.
Also within the grounds are the four-bedroom (two twin, two single) Trekkers Lodge and the Wee Bunkhouse, which has three bunk-beds sleeping six; these provide a budget accommodation option for walkers and families.
Kintail Lodge is said to enjoy strong year-round trade, with many visitors staying for several days. Its restaurant attracts non-residents, locals and other visitors, and is also used for small functions and weddings, catering for up to 30 guests.
Ken Sims, of selling agent Christie & Co, said: “The location alone makes Kintail Lodge one of the most attractive hotels in Scotland. With its excellent facilities, popularity and trading performance, I am certain it will generate significant interest from potential purchasers.”
The freehold of Kintail Lodge is on the market at £860,000.
