AN A-listed building in Glasgow’s Merchant City is to get a new lease of life as a restaurant.

James Rusk, owner of The Butchershop Bar & Grill in the Kelvingrove area of the city, is set to launch a new venue on the site.
The National Trust for Scotland-owned Hutcheson Hall is currently undergoing a £1.3 million renovation.
The venue has been lying empty for the last five years following extensive water damage caused by storms in 2008.
James Rusk said he has been working on the project “in the background” with the National Trust for Scotland for the past two years.
“When I stepped foot inside the grand hall, I instantly knew that I wanted to sympathetically transform this magnificent landmark,” said Rusk.
