THE educational origins of Orkney Brewery have been commemorated in a new beer.
Called 1878 after the year the former Quoyloo School opened on the site now occupied by the brewery, the 5.5% ABV brew is described as a “strong and full-bodied” auburn beer.
The new beer was launched earlier this month in cask and bottle formats.
