Picardy Place relaunched

EDINBURGH bar and restaurant No. 12 Picardy Place has relaunched after being taken over by new owners.

The property, which now functions as a boutique hotel, bar and restaurant with ten letting bedrooms, has changed its name to Twelve Picardy Place.
New owner the Edinburgh New Town Company also owns Steak Edinburgh, which opened last year in the same building.
Director Michele Civiera said the relaunch “heralds a new and exciting chapter for our new brand Twelve Picardy Place with a development of ten luxury hotel rooms, a new hotel bar, wine vault and terrace”.
Each of the hotel’s ten bedrooms features soaking tubs, ‘rainforest’ showers and 3D televisions.
The bedrooms and suites, all named after Scottish lochs, were designed by HK Surveying and Design and created in unused space at the top of the building.
Twelve Picardy Place relaunched last month.
