PUB giant JD Wetherspoon says it’s raised £6 million for children’s’ cancer charity CLIC Sargent since it joined forces with the charity in 2002.

Wetherspoon chairman Tim Martin said the ten-year partnership has “become an integral part of Wetherspoon’s culture and we’re delighted to have reached the £6 million milestone for this wonderful charity”.
“We are now looking forward to raising many more millions in the coming years as our partnership with the charity continues,” he said.
CLIC Sargent provides support to child cancer sufferers and their families across the UK.
JD Wetherspoon is now the charity’s longest-standing corporate supporter.
“This is such a fantastic accomplishment and I want to personally thank all the customers and staff at Wetherspoon for their on-going support, enthusiasm and commitment,” said Lorraine Clifton, chief executive officer at CLIC Sargent.
