ALISTAIR Darby has been appointed chief executive of managed pub group Mitchells and Butlers.
Darby is currently chief operating officer of brewing and pub business Marston’s, where he has been a board member since February 2003.
He will take up the reins at M&Bs on October 8 when, following a short handover, Bob Ivell will revert to the role of non-executive chairman.
