AN established restaurant with rooms in the Scottish Highlands has been purchased for an asking price of £595,000.

The Cross Restaurant and Rooms in Kingussie is a 30-cover restaurant with nine letting rooms.
For the past nine years it has been run by David and Kathleen Young, and during this time has received favourable ratings with the Scottish Tourist Board and the AA and was also a finalist in the Scottish Thistle Awards.
“We were asked to market this business on a confidential basis through our unique Cornerstone Confidential service and were able to find genuine buyers located not only in Scotland but in England and abroad,” said Gordon Mair, director of selling agents Cornerstone, who brokered the deal.
“We have found in recent times many owners of licensed businesses wish to sell their business but do not want it openly marketed and we are finding an increasing number of owners therefore using our unique Confidential service.”
The new owners of The Cross are Mr and Mrs Kitchingham, who have previous experience as operators in the licensed trade.
