Price reduced on peninsula pub

A PUB that’s said to be one of the most remote on mainland Britain is back on the market with a reduced asking price.

The Old Forge on the Knoydart Peninsula first came onto the market a year ago and has almost been sold on two occasions, but both deals failed to complete. It is now back on the market with £150,000 knocked off the initial £795,000 asking price.
David Reid, a partner with selling agent Knight Frank, said current owners Ian and Jackie Robertson have built up a “hugely successful business”. “My clients, the Robertsons, are unusual in that ‘it’s not all about the money’ and they have now invested in so many other properties on the peninsula they no longer have the time to run The Old Forge,” he said.
“With this in mind they have slashed the price from £795,000 to £645,000, which is a fantastic opportunity for new owners buying a business which is constantly achieving high profits.
“This business is ideal for those looking to make a total change of lifestyle and earn a great income in one of the most beautiful parts of the British isles.”
