Rates scheme brings savings
PUBS and hotels are set to benefit from savings under a Scottish Government business rates relief scheme.
More than half (59%) of hotels are paying zero or reduced business rates in the current 2011/2012 financial year, according to finance secretary John Swinney, who announced details of savings under the Scottish Government’s Small Business Bonus Scheme and other reliefs; 38% of pubs are said to have benefited.
